Morgan & Morgan’s client portal is the primary interface through which clients submit critical legal documents, including driver’s licenses, police reports, insurance information, and medical documentation. However, the original implementation presented Morgan & Morgan with serious challenges.
Given the multitude of document uploads each case can require, reliable document scanning is a crucial prerequisite for seamless processing. In Morgan & Morgan’s original solution, clients took a simple photo of a document, which then was classified and underwent further OCR processing. However, image quality was frequently so low that documents were illegible both to the client portal’s automatic classifying model and to attorneys, and Morgan & Morgan employees had to help out. With thousands of cases and multiple documents per case, this presented an unsupportable bottleneck.
