Just two months after our biggest Scanbot for Android release, we now offer a free update which emerged out of your feedback and our relentless strive to make being productive easy.
As we have mentioned in our previous article on the Scanbot 6 release, we are continuously working on improving the app, especially for our Android users. While the 6.0 release had some extensive changes beneath the surface, the 6.5 release now features a simplified user interface and some additional features that have been requested frequently.
Let’s dive in…
The Simplified User Interface
As we have said before, we want Scanbot to be self-explanatory. This is why we have reworked the whole User Interface: from the camera to the scan results and the document list. You will now have a more streamlined experience, with clearly labeled buttons that will allow you to choose the right option when you need it.
The Google Drive Device Sync
As simplification, to us, also means that our users should be able to access their documents anywhere and with the device of their choice. We now offer the ability to sync your documents between your mobile Android devices using Google Drive. Wherever you are and whatever Android device you use, you will always keep your documents up to par. Simply login to your Google Drive account, activate the sync in the app settings and you are ready to go!
Merging and Cloning PDF Documents
One of your most requested features, to merge and clone documents in Scanbot, has now arrived for Android. You are able to combine different PDF files, imported as well as scanned ones.
There have also been further but minor changes to the app, which we think you should discover yourself. As we value all your feedback, you can reach out to us directly inside the app (Settings → Support) on Twitter or Facebook and of course via Email. We are always happy to hear your suggestions on how to improve Scanbot, to make the experience with the App even more flawless.
